O novo modelo Theta X , câmara 360º mantém-se fiel à grande portabilidade e qualidade de imagem desta gama, mas conta com importantes novidades como o grande ecrã a cores de 2,25''.

Touchscreen é uma importante melhoria na experiência de utilização das Theta, visto que é agora  possível pré-visualizar a cena e visualizar a imagem capturada sem necessidade de utilizar um smartphone. A partir do ecrã é também possível  controlar os parâmetros da câmara, como a compensação de exposição ou o balanço de brancos, e realizar ações como ativar o obturador ou marcar fotos favoritas.

Novo sensor e processador 
A nova Theta X conta também com um novo processador e um sistema ótico redesenhado, bem como dois novos sensores de imagem CMOS de 1/2 polegada e 49 megapíxeis cada um, capazes de produzir imagens de aproximadamente 60 megapíxeis (11.009 x 5.504 píxeis).Há dois tamanhos de imagem disponíveis: 11K, para capturar fotos de alta resolução em interiores, e 5,5K, para obter imagens de forma mais eficiente noutro tipo de cenários.

O sistema de estabilização melhorado proporciona gravações de vídeo de 360 graus fluídas com uma resolução de 5.760 x 2.880 píxeis a 30 fotogramas por segundos. É possível também fazer streaming de vídeo a 4K através da porta USB-C da câmara.

Bateria intercambiável e cartão de memória
Por primeira vez uma câmara Theta conta com bateria intercambiável, concretamente o modelo Ricoh DB-110, o mesmo utilizado pelas câmaras compactas da série GR III.

A Theta X inclui também uma ranhura para cartões de memória microSDXC (de 64 GB ou com capacidade superior e compatível com a interface UHS-I) que permite ampliar a memória interna de 46 GB.

Estas duas novas funcionalidades permitem ao utilizador realizar largas jornadas de trabalho com a câmara sem ter que se preocupar pela autonomia ou pela memória disponível.

A Theta X conecta-se facilmente a um smartphone através de Bluetooth 5.0. A tecnologia sem fios MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) com várias antenas e processamento em tempo real (como a correção da parte superior e inferior da imagem 360 durante a gravação de vídeo) permitem transmitir a imagem a um smartphone de maneira muito mais rápida.

A câmara conta ainda com GPS integrado para proporcionar informação precisa sobre a localização em que se obtêm as imagens.

A Theta X mantém o design compacto, robusto e leve. Construção em liga de magnésio de outros modelos da série. O botão de modo permite alternar rapidamente entre as diferentes opções de disparo disponíveis (foto, vídeo, parâmetros personalizados, streaming e plug-in).
